Delighted to launch Walking the Standing Stones today!

Following our earlier adventures on the White Horse Trail (as published in Walking The White Horses, 2023), my 12-year-old son Charlie and I set off on another long walk – this time seeking to tackle Wiltshire’s Sarsen Way, from Swindon to Salisbury.

Along the way, we came face to face with much of the county’s ancient heritage – from The Ridgeway, Avebury World Heritage site and Stonehenge to West Kennett Long Barrow and the mysterious Silbury Hill.

But our adventure didn’t end with our arrival at Salisbury Cathedral, as we decided to keep walking – taking on the additional miles of the Cranborne Droves Way from Salisbury to Win Green, near Shaftesbury.
